Bella Poarch's natural Filipino parents welcomed Bella in the Philippines, on February 9, 1997. Her grandmother was living on the streets up to her three year age at which point she was placed to a foster home. Her adoptive father is a white American with military experience while her adoptive mother is Filipino. Her mother claims that she and her brother who was adopted as an infant, suffered abuse until they enlisted. She and her family moved to Texas when she was 13 because her father needed bypass surgery. The family spent a couple of days living in San Francisco with her aunt. She claims that the physical assault subsided but she still dealt with the psychological abuse her father suffered in the home. She enlisted in the United States Navy when she reached the age of 18. Poarch created her TikTok profile in April 2020. In just eight months, she had more that forty million followers. Poarch posted numerous videos. However, her biggest moment was her music video to Millie B's popular song Soph Aspin Send. Her zoomed-in clip of dancing and singing to the melody made the rounds and was one of the most-viewed TikTok videos ever. In order to capitalize on the popularity she gained after joining TikTok in December 2016, Poarch created YouTube and Twitter profiles. Poarch's burgeoning fame peaked in December 2020. The news reported that she was the target of two large professional Esports organisations. FaZe Clan (100 Thieves) and 100 Thieves were interested in hiring her to create content for their respective brand names.
